Christopher Bucklow's work in the exhibiton ‘Breasts’ during the 2024 Venice Art Biennale

Elliott Gallery is very proud to announce that the work of British Artist, Christopher Bucklow, will be included in a major group exhibition at Palazzo Franchetti S. Marco, during the 2024 Venice Biennale.

Breasts, curated by Carolina Pasti, is a group exhibition that celebrates over thirty international artists exploring and engaging with the iconography and symbolism of breasts.

The exhibition showcases the diverse works of emerging and established artists from around the world, spanning the realms of painting, sculpture, photography, and film and aims to contribute to breast cancer awareness.

Works in the exhibition explore how breasts have been understood and represented in art across cultures and traditions. Reflecting on a range of themes from motherhood, empowerment, sexuality, body image and illness, the show investigates how breasts act as a catalyst to discuss socio-political realities, challenge historical traditions and express personal and collective identities.

One of Christopher Bucklow’s beautiful Tetrarchs will be available to see, as part of the exhibition, on view from 17th April to 24th November 2024.
